Ray Atteveld

Ray Atteveld (born 8th September, 1966) was a Dutch footballer who could play as a full back or in midfield.
He made his debut for Everton F.C. on 2 December 1989 against Coventry City F.C. in a 2-0 home win for Everton F.C.. During his career at Everton F.C. he made 41 league appearances from the outset and a further 10 as a substitute scoring only one goal in his Everton F.C. career. Ray is one of three Dutchmen to play for Everton F.C.. The only others being Sander Westerveld and Andy van der Meyde
Ray was one of the first foreigners to get a regular first-team place in the Everton squad although he struggled to make a name of himself in the English game. Ray is remembered by Evertonians for stripping down to his underpants during an end of season lap of honour and throwing his kit into the crowd.
