Rawang Komuter station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rawang Komuter station is a Komuter station served by the Rawang-Seremban Line. It is the northern terminus for passenger services on this line. The Rawang Komuter station was built to cater the traffic around a major suburb with the similar name called Rawang as there are no other train systems in Klang Valley that stop here.
[edit] Future Plans
On September 7, 2006, KTM Komuter announced that a shuttle service between Rawang and Rasa will begin by the end of this year. The service, which extends the KTM Komuter network by 22km, will cover three new stations, namely Serendah, Batang Kali and Rasa. This is the first stretch of the problem-prone and much-delayed Rawang-Ipoh electrification and double-tracking project to become operational.
