I think I have been walking around the wiki for long enough to have an identity. My contributions so far have all been related to music: I wrote a piece on Walter Willson Cobbett and another on Ignaz Schuppanzigh. One of my main motivations was that whenever I mention people like that to someone I know, they all stop listening immediately. Who can I tell, if not you folk? I also made a modest contribution to Music of Israel.
I am an amateur violinist and violist, play a lot of chamber music, and read a lot about the subject. I asked a lot of elementary questions at the village pump before Doc Tropics pointed me in the direction of the Help Desk.
Ravpapa was one of the rabbis of the Sanhedrin. He appears frequently in the Talmud as the troublemaker, the one who asks the questions that make the other rabbis stop in their tracks and end the argument with "Teku" (to be resolved when the Messiah comes).
I have created at subpage to this page where I prepare things for Wikipublication. Right now I am working on an addition to the Jewish Music entry about /Jewish Art Music.
