Ravi Kishan, the Amitabh Bachchan of the Bhojpuri film industry plays lead in most of bhojpuri films. He has also done some Bollywood movies & TV Serials too. Right now he is one of the 13 contestants on Sony TV's Bigg Boss, which is Indian version of famous reality show Big Brother (TV series).
Well connected in the Bollywood industry, Kissen is the one of the people who have changed the landscape of Bhojpuri films. Bhojpuri cinema has now grown to a large extent and is in a good leaque of acceptance. In this history of Bhojpuri films, a first film to be named as the name of a superstar is being made. The star is none other than "Ravi Kissen" and thus is the film called "Ravi Kissen".
Content with the booming of this industry he said, "Earlier there were some non-Bhojpuri producers who tried their hands at producing Bhojpuri films but instead gave flops as they weren't sons of the Bhojpuri soil. But now, filmmakers from Bhojpuri itself are producing these films and that's why these films are receiving a tremendous response from the Bhojpuris as they are now getting aware of their culture and language." Commenting on this fact, Ravi further added, "Logon ko pizza burger ke bajay maa ke haathon ka khana pasand aa gaya hai (Today, people prefer home-made food instead of pizzas and burgers)."Ravi also said, "It is fortunate for the Bhojpuri film industry that Amitabh Bachchan is acting in the Bhojpuri film 'Ganga' which for me is like a dream come true as I also am acting in the same film."
Ravi has also interesting views, his views on vulgarity in the film industry are well known, and this is exactly why Sony would jump at the chance of courting Ravi in order for him to appear on Bigg Boss. In a time where vulgarity and sexual promiscuous are at a real high in Indian society, the moderate views of Ravi Kissen in the Bigg Boss household will certainly raise some eyebrows.
