Raul Peimbert

Raul Peimbert Diaz is a Mexican/American newscaster, who also served as General Coordinator of Mass Communication for the government of the Mexican state of Veracruz.
Peimbert was born in Livermore, Ca, and was rased in Mexico. He got his start in television at a young age, as a news editor for a station in Guadalajara. He went on to anchor the news first in Xalapa, and later in the city of Veracruz, Veracruz.
In 1991 he began his career in Spanish-language television in the United States, first as co-anchor at Univisión, and later at Telemundo. He moved on to CBS News, and eventually became the anchor at the Telemundo affiliate in Los Angeles. He also presented the news for a radio station in Mexico City.
March 15, 2002, he was named General Coordinator of Mass Communication for the government of the State of Veracruz by Miguel Alemán Velazco, son of Miguel Alemán Valdés. He gave up the position November 30, 2004 after Alemán left office.
From November 2005 till today Peimbert is currently working for Kmex Channel 34 Univision Los Angeles as a News Anchor.
Peimbert is currently married to Fulvia Camargo, a radio personality in Los Angeles.
