The station is based in Tokoroa, New Zealand and started in 2004. From the beginning the manager of the station has been Whititera Kaihau (born 1943 and passed away just after midnight in the early hours Tuesday Morning 14 November 2006) Raukawa Television is located in the same area as Raukawa Fm, one of the local Radio Station, in Tokoroa and is associated with South Waikato community television infrastructure.

South Waikato Community Television is a registered Charitable Trust.
