Ratcliff, Texas

The town of Ratcliff, Texas, USA is in Houston County, and was founded in the late 1800s. Just after 1900, over 5,000 populated the town, with most working at a sawmill operated by the Central Coal and Coke Company known as the 4-C Mill. A portion of this mill was a 45 acre lake which is now the heart of the Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area.
