[edit] Stereolithography most common?
The article claims that Stereo Lith is the most common method. Any reference on that? From my own experience Fused Deposition Modeling seems more common these days, but an actual reference would be good. -- Kaszeta 14:19, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I think you may be right in that FDM is becoming more popular than STL, but most likely any indication of one of these being favored over another is POV and will be quickly dated. Probably the reference should be removed or weakened. --ssd 12:28, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Agreed. I reworded it to be less POV. -- Kaszeta 13:00, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] STL file format?
Where would be a good place to mention the widely used STL file format? This format is used not only in the rapid manufacturing industry. It is also used to exchange sets of triangles that approximate components to be manufactured. The format is for example used in the toolmaking industry.
