Raphael Soyer

Raphael Soyer (1899, Borisoglebsk, Tambov - 1987, New York) was Russian-born US painter. Soyer was referred to as an American Scene painter. He also wrote several books on his life and art.
His brothers Moses Soyer and Isaac Soyer were painters.
