[edit] Core topics

Hi Randy,

I noticed that you signed up for the Core Topics project. I was wondering if you could help us out - there is a lot to do there at the moment. We are currently re-assessing the main core topics table, and as we do this we add the core topic template containing the assessment to the talk page, as in {{Core topic|class=B}} (see Talk:Animal for an example). We are also in the process of looking at a supplementary list, these articles also need evaluations. We are going to open up WP:V0.5 for nominations in a week or two, and I'd like to include a lot of the Core topics very early on. Would you be able to help out? Thanks, Walkerma 05:56, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] how am I vandalising?

All I did was put in a bit of trivia in the trivia section, not nonsense, so how is that considered vandalisim.

Spelt is a perfectly good variation of the verb spell spelled in fact sounds a little funny. Williamb 00:49, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism on the Will Smith page?

I find that you consider changing 2 letters on a page vandalism. Not only is "Aw hell, naw" lead to a re-direct to Will Smitth, that is the the exact verbal line spoken by Will Smith on numorous occassions, including "I, Robot", among others. I find that it is a more accurate description of his catchphrase.

To do what you did is not only petty and foolish, it's downright...stupid.

[edit] Cleanup Taskforce

I'm not sure why I got the boilerplate message. I have two articles listed and both are listed as done and tagged as such in the articles too. BTW, I've got a bunch of activity confirmations on my desk, which I think belong somewhere else. Perhaps they somehow got transcluded. Will look into that now. - Mgm|(talk) 08:15, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Aha! {{Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Are you active?}} was stuck somewhere halfway on my desk. I've moved it to the bottom to make sure my current/done/moved structure of the desk stays intact.

[edit] A short Esperanzial update

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Just trying to get things better organized around there. Toward that end, I've created a task list template for the project.
