[edit] Enrollment Figures
I was wondering what source you used for the 101 figure. I found a site giving 258. I don't really have any idea what their enrollment is but I thought it best to know where the 101 comes from. Thanks. 12.220.47.145 15:10, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
- here is a link to the day school enrollment figures... they break it down by grade so the high school numbers can be determined. http://www.admissionsquest.com/cfm_Public/pg_SchlInfo2.cfm/mode/execute/SchlID/229/level/none Randella 21:30, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
- If you visit the school's website, and the other link you offered, you'll see that roughly 300 students attend the entire school, which is including K-8 grades. The table in question deals only with high schools.--YHoshua 23:56, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
At some point we should probably start adding profiles for the EVSC high schools, or do you think that's unnecessary? I'm not sure.--YHoshua 18:50, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- do you mean their own individual profiles like the one for north? i think that's a good idea. i recently added a media overview to the main page, but kept it short and sweet so there wasn't a long list of radio stations. Randella 22:54, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yes. I've also made one for Reitz. Since high schools seem to be fair game on Wikipedia we might as well have one for all of the local high schools.--YHoshua 19:02, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Award
Excellent pic of the EVV airport.--YHoshua 06:22, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Boneyard
There is an unregistered user who is constantly changing the Evansville, Indiana page to include a vanity link to his website. The user in question is Evansvilleboneyard and the website in question is Evansville Boneyard. Do you think it deserves to be there? I certainly don't and I think it's just the website's operator who keeps adding. There's no evidence to suggest it is encyclopedia worthy. I've asked for an administrator to help us but I thought I'd get your opinion on the subject as well. On a related note, I think this is a good reason to have at least one Evansville native as an administrator to keep people from constantly reverting things.--YHoshua 03:38, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- thanks for getting that under control... i posted a reply on the main discussion page. i don't really care whether it's there or not, it is an interesting site but it doesn't rank up there with the primary media or deserve to be bolded like he was doing. Randella 17:03, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Halston
Hi! I'm contacting you because you once contributed to the Halston article. Unfortunately, this page has been discovered to be a likely copyright violation from its creation, and will be deleted if no one can write a temporary article to replace it. I'm not sure how much you know about this subject, but feel free to create a new temporary article if you know about the subject. Thanks for your time! [edit] Image Tagging
Thanks for uploading Image:Reitzmemorial.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 05:37, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- i think it was a publicity photo, but i can't remember where i located it. if i locate it again i'll make sure to add the appropriate copyright info. Randella 20:09, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Copyright
Thanks for uploading Image:Onbheadquarters.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 22:59, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- it appears you are mistaken. the copyright status for this photo is clearly listed on the file as "Press release photo provided by Old National Bank for media use. The copyright is owned by Old National Bank." Randella 23:34, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair Use Rationale
Thanks for uploading Image:Indiana MSA map.png. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Indiana
I apologize for being quick to revert those edits. They are logged as being performed by an anonymous IP address, so without any rationale included I was suspicious that any information removal may be vandalism. If they had been under your account I wouldn't have reverted, as I've seen your good work on other related articles. I agree that a great place to get the article under control is the people list, and your work is great as long as those people are still present in the dedicated list of people from Indiana article. I am a little partial to the historical religious affiliation information (for comparison), but if you don't think it's appropriate, I won't stand in the way of that either. Sorry for the trouble, Craig R. Nielsen 05:41, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- thanks for the response. and yeah, i forget to login sometimes so i'm sorry about the confusion. anyway, someone else also reverted my last changes, so i'm gonna let majority rule. if you see any merit in my last attempts, feel free to make any changes you see fit. but as of now it's the way it was and i'm backing out of this one.
