Ranvir Sena

Ranvir Sena is an anti-communist[1]upper and caste-supremacist fringe paramilitary group based in Bihar, India. The group is based amongst the Bhumihar landlord caste, and carries out actions against the outlawed naxals and their sympathizers in rural areas. The group has at several occasions been accused of human rights abuses[2]. It is regarded as an anti-Communist terrorist group and classified accordingly by the Government of India[citation needed].They have committed violent acts against Dalits and other members of the scheduled caste community in an effort to scuttle reform movements aimed at their emancipation.
