Randy Constan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Randy Constan (b. 21 November 1953 in Staten Island, New York) is a Peter Pan impersonator who rose to fame when he posted his cosplay pictures on an Internet website in 2001 in an attempt to find a girlfriend. The photos of the effeminate middle-aged computer programmer leaping through air in a Peter Pan costume quickly became Photoshop parody favorites on sites like Something Awful. In fact, the site became so popular it became an unintentional Google bomb. As of 2005, it was in the #1 spot for a search of "peter pan" beating out Peter Pan Bus Lines, the Internet Movie Database, and even Disney and Universal Studios.

Although he has made a good deal of money off his Peter Pan persona, Randy claims that he has donated all of the money to various charitable organizations. He states that he likes to dress up because it allows him to escape reality and indulge in the innocent fantasies of youth.

Constan also made numerous television appearances (always wearing the costume), including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tech TV and Because I Said So.

Constan currently lives in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Constan recently appeared in a music video alongside Jay Maynard and Leslie Hall entitled "We are the Web" supporting net neutrality.
