Randroid is a pejorative term for some or all followers of Ayn Rand's Objectivism. It is a portmanteau of Rand's name with the word android, suggesting a robot-like adherence to her philosophy. Some use this word to refer to all followers of Rand's philosophy, implying that the philosophy could not be supported by people who think independently.
