Rando Ayamine

Rando Ayamine (綾峰欄人 Ayamine Rando) is a Japanese mangaka, born in 1974. He's best known for drawing the series Get Backers. Before this, he was an assistant under Tohru Fujisawa, helping out in the drawing of GTO. Even after starting on GB, he infrequently had to ask permission from Fujisawa to borrow his assistants to make the deadlines for GB's serialisation. He's even known to have fallen ill during GB's serialisation due to its break-neck speed of publishing. (Frequently, one tankubon is published every 2 months. The longest interval was 4 months, between volumes 15 and 16.)

Besides GB, he has also illustrated "YA! ENTERTAINMENT", a novel series by Tadashi Agi (working under the alias of Yuya Aoki and also the writer of GB).
