Randi Weingarten

Randi Weingarten (born 1957) is an American labor leader and educator and is the current president of the United Federation of Teachers.

Randi currently lives in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. She succeeded Sandra Feldman.

After growing up in Rockland County, Weingarten went on to receive a B.S. in labor relations from Cornell University and a J.D. from the Cardozo School of Law. She then worked as a lawyer for the firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan from 1983 to 1986.[1] From 1991 until 1997, she taught history at Clara Barton High School in Crown Heights.
