[edit] Fair use for Ran (film)
This image, Ran storyboards.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Palm_Dogg) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It illustrates the section it appears in, which is a discussion of the production of the film. It provides a partial visual confirmation of an allegation in the article, namely that Kurosawa painted Ran's storyboards.
- It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to market or sell the film in any way;
- The image is being used in an informative way and should not detract from the film.
- No free or public domain images have been located for this film.
