Ramya is an actress in the south indian film industry. She is one of the most sought after actress in the Kannada film industry. She has also starred in few Tamil and Telugu films.

Born in Bangalore on 29th Nov 1981, Ramya studied at in St.Hilda's school, in Ooty. She then earned her collegiate degree at St.Josephs College of Commerce, in Bangalore, Ramya took an active role in stage shows and dance rehearsals from her grade school days, thus losing her stage fright.
Smart Looking and attractive, Ramya is a name to reckon in the Kannada film inudustry today.

Ramya stepped into the film industry with Kannada movie Abhi starring against Puneet Rajkumar. She has starred with actors like Upendra, Puneet, Sudeep, Darshan, Murali. Her new movie Julie starring Dino Morea from Bollywood was released in 2006; it was a remake of Julie (1975 film) that starred Laxmi (actress). She has given nearly 5 super hits in Kannada till date which include Abhi, Amruthadhare, Excuse me, Gowramma and Akash.Thananam Thananam along with Shyam and Rakshita released in late november 2006 is expected to do well.
Ramya resides at The Taj West End in Bangalore, with her adopted father.
