Ramesses

Ramesses (also commonly spelled "Ramses," pronounced [ˈræm.siz] or "Rameses," [ˈræ.mə.siz]) is the name conventionally given in English transliteration to eleven Egyptian pharaohs of the later New Kingdom period. The name essentially translates as "Born of the sun-god Ra".
