Ram Niwas Mirdha

Ram Niwas Mirdha is a politician from Rajasthan state of India. He is a member of Indian National Congress party. Presently he is Member of Parliament from Barmer (Rajasthan) representing Cong.(I). He was the speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Ram Niwas Mirdha was cabinet minister in Government of India in 1970s and has held many party positions .

He was born at village Kuchera in Nagaur district of Rajasthan on 24 August 1924. His father's Name is late Shri Baldeo Ramji Mirdha. His Spouse's name is Smt. Indira Mirdha. He has got two sons and one daughter. 1. Rajendra Mirdha; 2. Harendra Mirdha, born September 1949, married Ratan Mirdha daughter of Paras Ram Maderna. Joined politics, he has been Member Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Cabiner Minister for Public Works Department in Rajasthan (1998-2004). He has one daughter and one son Raghuvendra Mirdha

He is M.A., LL.B. Educated at Allahabad University, Allahabad, Lucknow University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva (Switzerland). He is Professional Agriculturist.
