Many travelers prefer to land at San Pedro Sula's airport instead of Tegucigalpa's Tocontin due to the easier approach and smoother arrival. A new terminal is expected to be completed by 2015. This is due to the airport expansion program launched by InterAirports. This is expected to bring Honduras more tourists. It also expected to boost the country's poor economy.
