Ralitsa Vassileva

Ralitsa Vassileva (Bulgarian: Ралица Василева) is a Bulgarian-born CNN International television anchorwoman. She has covered the Bosnian War, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and many other major international issues. She has interviewed many world leaders, including Mikhail Gorbachev, Ariel Sharon, Henry Kissinger, and others.
Vassileva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and graduated from Sofia University. She worked in the Bulgarian National Radio in 1987 as an English translator and announcer, and from there made the transition to reporting. She became a reporter for the Bulgarian National Television in 1990, and transferred to CNN in 1992.
