Raleigh-Egypt High School

Raleigh-Egypt High School is a secondary school (grades 9-12) located in Raleigh, a section of Memphis, Tennessee. It is part of the Memphis City Schools district.

This school was originally part of the Shelby County School System when it was built in 1969.[citation needed] It fell under Memphis City School system after Raleigh was annexed by Memphis.[citation needed] As of 2006, the school principal is Dr. Oscar Love. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1,000. [citation needed]

Raleigh-Egypt High School has often had a very successful basketball team. Scooter McFhagon is one of the great athletes to come out of Raleigh-Egypt High School.

All MCS students are required to wear school uniforms. [1]

Students may wear oxford shirts, polo shirts, turtlenecks, and blouses with "Peter Pan" collars. All shirts must be white. Sweatshirts must be white, black, navy blue, tan or any other colors approved by the individual campus.

shorts, skirts, and jumpers must be black, tan, or navy blue. Denim clothing is not allowed.
