Hi, my name is Rajan. I am currently a sophomore History major at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I also am minoring in Criminology, as I intend to continue on to Law School.
Wikipedia is something I use frequently, as a tool of convenience (I'm usually already at my computer doing...something). Also I sometimes load the site out of desire to learn something new. With regard to this, I sometimes will make minor edits to articles in which I know something about or where to get information relatively quickly.
Subjects I will most likely edit Interstate Highways, particularly ones I have to drive sit in traffic on --
- Interstate 93
- As I sometimes refer to it, The Big Bathtub in downtown
- Interstate 89 (ok there's no traffic there)
- Route 128, aka Interstate 95
- I use the term reluctantly. However, most people outside Eastern Massachusetts become utterly confused. Yet I'll continue to tell people like my parents to take 128 South when Route 3 intersects it at Burlington
Boston-related subjects
On Usertags
While I admit that excessive use of them is...stupid, I will elect to leave the ones I have already in place, plus or minus one. What I am attempting to do is allow people who come across this page to take in a quick synopsis of who I am, and then move on. I compare it to skimming the headlines of the newspaper. Finally, the ones toward the end are just meant to illicit a laugh. I hope. Don't tell me if your not laughing.
[edit] Purpose of my existence
Below I will link to articles that I contributed in what I feel was a significant manner (i.e. - creation, major revisions)
Article | Date of contribution | What did I do? |
Wearside Jack | March 21, 2006 | Major revision.
|
Interstate 89 | April 3, 2006 | Added Exit Table list for each state |
Vermont State Highway 289 | April 4 - 5, 2006 | My first article from scratch. eek! |
Vermont Roads Project | July 30, 2006 | joined project, will contribute as time allows |
Last Thought
I also have a pet-peeve with Plagrism, intended or not. In most cases, especially here, it won't be the latter - unless the reporter themselves subsequently contributed word-for-word what they wrote for their professional article. C'mon people, don't plagrize. It's not cool.
Feel free to contact me via the Discussion page. My inbox is overtaxed enough. Nor will I get more than one.
