If you go here:[1] You'll find an aerial photograph. The center of the Hexagon is the place where King George's statue was placed - removed after independence. India gate is to its left. The Oval is the National Stadium. Rajpath runs straight from the oval through the center of the Hexagon to Vijay Chowk. The Long white lines on either side of Rajpath are the water bodies that I first described using the word Pond, then Canal and now Pool. They are three feet-four deep. If you know what the right word is please use it.

Wouldn't it help to have translations of severals phrases--like Vikram Chowk? Or, in cases, where the phrase used is the official name, maybe an explanation.

Also, maybe put in a phrase that says something like:

...Rajpath, also known as King's Way (which is what it means in Hindi/Sanskrit])...

I have put translations where each name first appears.
Isn't Square more appropriate for Chowk?

Not sure if it is appropriate to make the second sentence loooong by adding translations there. Besides no need for translating Vijay Chowk thrice. Anyway Sansad means Parliament. Indian Parliament is called Sansad Bhavan. Sansad Marg is Parliament street. Finally, Vijay Chowk and Sansad Marg are proper nouns - no need to translate them. Its like if a street was named Faqeer Street, you wont translate? Sansad Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan have both English and Hindi names tho. About Chowk I still think it means crossing, but Vijay Chowk is a Square (and a crossing :-). Edit the way you want but these are my suggestion.
