Rajiv Gandhi Technical University

Rajiv Gandhi Technical University or RGPV (Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiiki Vishwavidyalaya) as it is commonly known was established as common university for all the technical institutes including Engineering and Polytechnic colleges in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Rajiv Gandhi Technical University includes all the technical institutions of the largest state of the country. The university was named after the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. All the colleges of Engineering and Technology as well as the Polytechnics affiliated to various Universities and Boards of Technical Education are affiliated to the newly set up University of Technology. Further any new college, institute and polytechnic, which is to be set up in the field of Engineering and Technology, including Architecture and Pharmacy, shall be required to be affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyala, University of Technology of Madhya Pradesh.

University Institute Of Technology or UIT-RGPV The college was established as Government Engineering College in 1986 by Government of Madhya Pradesh to meet the widely felt need for industry oriented engineering education under the affiliation to the RGPV.

University institute of technology has come a long way since its establishment but still an exacting future waits for this institution. This journey towards excellence from GEC to BEC and now to University Institute of Technology, RGPV has been full of obstacles and hindrances and many more are waiting ahead. With determination and will power that has been shown by the members of this institution in the past, there is no doubt that this institution will go ahead and be recognized as a premiere institute of the nation.
