Rajan (Sly Cooper)

Rajan (Bengali: রাজন) is an anthropomorphic tiger character from the video game Sly 2: Band of Thieves.

Born penniless on the streets of Calcutta, India, Rajan began his life of crime stealing and selling illegal spices on the black market. His small outfit soon grew into a sizeable operation, earning him a place on the Klaww Gang. Seeking to hide his humble origins, he used his ill-gotten gains to appear wealthy, dubbing himself "Lord of the Hills".

Rajan first encountered trouble from Sly and co. at his recently purchased "ancestral" palace. In another attempt to pass himself off as royalty, he threw a fabulous party to show off his Clockwerk wings. Among the invited guests were Jean Bison, Arpeggio, the Contessa, Carmelita Fox, and Constable Neyla. Despite the palace's formidable defenses, the gang managed to make off with the wings by distracting Rajan with a dance between Sly and Carmelita.

His reputation ruined, his Wings stolen and the police on his tail, Rajan fled into the jungle. He took up residence in the center of his spice operation, a temple where he stored his other Clockwerk part, the Heart. Using half of it to irrigate his spice operation, he was able to produce spice at amazing rates. He kept the other half on top of his staff, allowing him to release powerful electric charges.

Sly and co. soon arrived to claim the Heart, pulling off a series of jobs to accomplish their goals. After stealing the half used for irrigation, destroying the spice grinding machine, and flooding the temple, the gang incurred Rajan's wrath. Wounding a betrayed Sly, Rajan did battle with Murray. Despite the power of the Heart half he carried, Rajan was bested. In the end credits, he is revealed to have become the president of a chain of North American rug dealers, however, this is considerered non-canon.
