Template talk:Rail station

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've removed this template from the Chapeltown railway station as it isn't working yet. For some reason, on my Firefox browser, the headers are vertically unaligned, and the implementation mistakenly claimed that Sheffield was the previous station and Leeds the next. Also, if you are planning to replace the rail line template which is currently used on a huge number of pages, it would be good to discuss it at Template talk:Rail line. I created and was currently testing this new template, hopefully to stop having this absurd system where preceeding and following stations are given rather than the two termini. I've since discovered this template is actually used with another one, and was currently testing it on a small station. Captain scarlet 23:18, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Here is how it should look after quick testing, I'll follow your advice and hope that this new template could be used in stead:

Great, that looks much better (incidentally, this talk page seems an ideal place to test the new template). I can see your point about the usefulness of listing the termini. Would it be possible to also include the next and previous stations? While likely to be less useful information, this does allow users to easily click along the line and view a series of station article. Warofdreams talk 23:51, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
I think that the template on this page does both quite well. JeremyA 03:45, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
It does but I see little if not no point to know which is the next station. Captain scarlet 15:38, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
