Rairangpur

Rairangpur is a place in India situated at about 85 kilometers from district headquarters of Baripada. The Khadkhai Dam is a local attraction nearby.

Introduction: Rairangpur belongs to the Mayurbhanj District of orissa. It is located near the border of orissa and Jharkhand. It is 80 km away from Tatanagar, which happens to be the steel city of india.

Importance: Rairangpur acts as a liasion between Jamshedpur and and the mines in Badampahar.The steel factories of Jamshedpur rely partly on the raw materials extracted from these mines.There is special train from Jamshedpur to Badampahar via rairangpur which acts as the carrier for the raw materials.
