Rainbow Wahine Volleyball

The term "Wahine Volleyball" technically can be applied to any women's volleyball team. This article is about the University of Hawaiʻi's women's volleyball team.

The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team is the NCAA Division I Volleyball team for the University of Hawaiʻi. The team has won four national championships and has made many post-season appearances in the NCAA volleyball tournament. It has produced numerous olympians, national players of the year, all Americans, and all-conference players.

Head coach Dave Shoji is (as of the beginning of 2005) the winningest active NCAA Division I volleyball coach by winning percentage and second by total victories.[1] He is a member of the NCAA volleyball division I 25th anniversary team [2]. He has been named as one of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) division I volleyball regional coachs of the year numerous times. He has also been named as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) conference coach of the year numerous times.
