Rainbow Cup

The Rainbow Cup is a rugby union cup set to start in 2006. The teams will include several "A" sides from nations recognised as "Tier 1" by the sport's governing body, the International Rugby Board, as well as the full national team of Tier 2 nation Romania.

The name was also used for a proposed tournament involving Celtic League teams along with South African Currie Cup teams and Italian premiership teams was announced in 2005, but following changes in the membership of the South African Rugby Union the idea was abandoned without a ball kicked.
