[edit] Background

Founded in 1958, Raimondi College is the first Catholic Diocesan secondary school established in Hong Kong. Ever since its establishment, the College has produced numerous prominent leaders in Hong Kong. Over the years, in addition to achieving remarkable academic results, the students have continually won awards in debating, music and sports competitions.

[edit] School Buildings

The school consists of 3 buildings, viz. the Main Building, the Form Six building, and the Form Two Building.

The Main Building of Raimondi College is the tallest secondary school building in Hong Kong, which have 14 storeies. Although school premises in Hong Kong cannot exceed six floors in height(i.e., so that pupils, when not using the elevator, need not climb more than six floors of stairs), Raimondi College's main building has two exits, with the ground floor exit at Glenealy and the eighth floor exit at Robinson Road. This allows the building to fit this requirement by making the fourteenth floor accessible by climbing six floors of stairs from the Robinson Road exit.

The lower six floors of the building (including ground floor) being the primary school section, while the eight floors above being the secondary school section.

[edit] Future Development

The primary section will move to Wan Chai in the year 2008. After the removal, the secondary section will occupy the whole school campus. Hence, Raimondi College will become the tallest single secondary school in Hong Kong.
