Rai Thistlethwayte

Rai Thistlethwayte, born April 19,1980 is an Australian singer-songwriter who spends most of his time fronting the band Thirsty Merc. He is an accomplished guitarist, pianist and vocalist.
Thistlethwayte, in 2003, sang a version of We Are Australian, which was used extensively in an ad campaign for Telstra. He also helped fellow Aussie Tim Freedman out with the music to a Whitlams song, 12 Hours.
He attended Knox Grammar School were his father to this day is a Japanese teacher. He grew up and still lives in West Pymble.
