The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) is a national U.S. anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the U.S. National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE. RAINN's toll-free, confidential and anonymous hotline service uses the area code of the caller's phone number to automatically route the caller to a nearby local agency (often called a rape crisis center) that can provide crisis support, counseling and advocacy services for victims of rape and sexual assault.

RAINN was founded in 1994 by Scott Berkowitz, the organization's president. RAINN has attracted the attention of various celebrities, notably singer Tori Amos, who contributed a portion of the initial funding. Writer/director Kevin Smith is also notable for charging $2 to register at his official web forum and donating all such proceeds to RAINN.

RAINN's mission is to support victims of sexual assault, ensure that rapists are brought to justice and prevent sexual assault.

RAINN's phone number is 1.800.656.HOPE.
