[edit] Participants

[edit] Picture Team

  • Photographes of Rail Stations on Auckland Network
- Will have to find time to spend a day travelling railways to get good shots of rail stations up and down the length of network. Will possibly be able to do this towards the end of February this month.
  • Photo Requests
- Am happy to take some photographs that you may need for your articles in the Auckland region. Please list them below and will see what we can do as time allows. Adding them to the Picture Requests sub-section will allow anyone who can possible take that shot to do so then strike it off the list.

[edit] Picture Requests

  • Middlemore Train Station
  • Papatoetoe Train Station N.B. Completed Tom Webb 00:10, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ideas need/wanted for expanding this project

I have set up the above todo list in order to help co-ordinate a working relationship between various team members that want to participate on expaning rail articles in this category. Please post any ideas you have below, thanks. Tom Webb 23:16, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Review current articles and look at working at an improvement drive to bring all current articles to Wiki feature standards.
  • Get good pictures for articles
  • Get list of articles that are missing or should be included in this category.

[edit] Good idea

I think this is a good idea. I could possibly make a template for people to stick on their userpages, similar to the "This user is a Firefox user", etc. Three main factors:

  • Lack of photos for say a specific locomotive class, ie DC class
  • The articles themselves (without putting people down) are written in New Zealand English, therefore do not conform with international quality standards. Im saying this, because our articles most probaly wont be included in the CD version of Wikipedia.
  • Possibly adding photos to the Toll Rail section of their livery (colours).

These are just some ideas off the top of my head, so we can all work together and expand. I know, the user Xaiver (sm) is working with the articles as well. --Matt von Furrie 23:35, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
