[edit] Deletion of images

You are reading two different sections on [1]. First one tells how to transfer an image from Wikipedia to the Commons. Second one tells how to rename/move an image that is already on commons.

Because of licence and copyright issues, we normally do not delete images here on Wikipedia that have been transferred to Commons. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:31, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

We generally only delete if:
  1. Image was put on Commons before it was put on Wikipedia
  2. Same user put it on both Wikipedia and Commons
