Rafi Ahmed Kidwai

Rafi Ahmed Kidwai was an Indian freedom fighter and socialist politician. He was a major ally of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. On India becoming independent on 15 August 1947, Kidwai became India's first Minister for Communications, and one of two Muslims in Nehru's cabinet (the other was Maulana Abul Kalam Azad).
