Raffaele Lombardo

Raffaele Lombardo (born on 29 October 1950 in Catania) is an Italian politician and Member of the European Parliament for Islands with the Movement for Autonomy and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs.
He is a substitute for the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, a member of the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union (including Libya) and a substitute for the Delegation for relations with Canada.

- Regional Secretary of the Centre Democrats (CCD) for Sicily
- Member of Catania Municipal Council for eight years
- Several terms as Catania Municipal Councillor with responsibility for budget, planning, health, cultural heritage, youth issues, taxation
- Member of the Sicilian Regional Assembly for ten years

- since 2003: President of the Province of Catania
