Rafael Aguilar Talamantes

Rafael Aguilar Talamantes is a Mexican politician and founder of Socialist Workers' Party, he became a political prisoner in 1965 apprehended in the Nicolaita University in Michoacán on October 8 of that year. He had notoriety in the Mexican political life as of 1988, year in which his they founded and party allied itself to the National Democratic Front, which supported the candidacy of Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Solórzano.
After the elections of 1988, Aguilar Talamantes separated from the FDN, with a good part to elect deputies and senators, who would support many of the policies of the ex-president Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
In 1994, Aguilar Talamantes was selected as candidate of PFCRN to the Presidency, in which its party only obtained the 0.85% of the voting, with which it was in sixth place and its party lost the registry, that recovered as Cardenista Party in 1997 and that same year would lose its registry definitively.
At the moment, Aguilar Talamantes one has seen near the Social Democratic and Peasant Alternative Party and Farmer them, he supported the candidacy of Patricia Mercado in the presidential elections of the 2006.
