RAF Membury is a former Royal Air Force station that is now the location for Membury services on the M4 motorway. It was one of the fictional settings of Hammond Innes' novel 'Air Bridge' about the Berlin Airlift. The other locations in the novel were RAF Gatow, RAF Wunstorf and the city of Berlin itself.
