RAF Gaydon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
RAF Gaydon is a former Royal Air Force station in Warwickshire in the UK. In 1974, when RAF usage ceased, it was taken over by British Leyland as a proving ground. It was then sold by BMW with Land Rover to Ford. Ford later decided to use Gaydon as the location for the new purpose built factory for Aston Martin, another of their British brands. It is also the site of the Motor Heritage Centre, featuring the good, the bad and the ugly of British Motoring History.
