Rae Beth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rae Beth is a British author who has written on Paganism.
Beth is associated with the Hedgewitch movement, a movement within contemporary neo-Paganism that champions pursuing Pagan practices as an individual, often following a solitary course, rather than attending covens. The name "Hedgewitch" implies that such Pagans are keen to gain allegiance with nature. She may be compared with the British author Marian Green (who calls herself a "solitary witch" rather than a "Hedgewitch") whose works include "A Witch Alone: Thirteen Moons to Master Natural Magic".
Many people credit Rae Beth with the term "hedgewitch," but it is quite conceivable that she stumbled upon the term, much like everyone else who reads into certain histories. Why she changed the definition of the term is unknown, but it is evident that there's more to it.
