[edit] Character History

Rae was introduced in August 2005. She was quickly established to be Simone Russell's girlfriend, which established to viewers that Simone was a lesbian. Simone declared to Rae that she loved her, but Rae said she was not interested in a steady relationship. Heart-broken, Simone left.

After not being seen for months, Rae resurfaced in December 2005. During a party where Alistair Crane planned to destroy the lives of many of Harmony's residents, Alistair let it slip that he paid Rae off to seduce a sexually confused Simone. T.C. Russell, Simone's father was enraged, and tried to convince Simone that Rae has just confused her about who she was. Simone told her father that despite the fact that Rae was one of Alistair's lackies, she knew who she was - a lesbian.

Simone and Rae have been seen together on occasion following Simone's return home from Rome in July 2006. It's clear they have some kind of relationship, but the extent of it remains to be seen.

On Thanksgiving, Simone and Rae visited St. Mary Margaret's church to see Father Lonigan. Father Lonigan recognized Rae as one of his former parishoners and asked why she had stopped attending. Rae responded that her parents told her she wasn't welcome in the church due to her lesbian lifestyle. Father Lonigan admitted that according to the bible her actions were a sin but that church was welcome to everyone and that Rae's parents were wrong for shunning her.
