Radioropa Info

Radioropa Info was the designation of the only German-language private broadcasting station in the long-wave range.

Radioropa info. began the transmit mode at the beginning of the 1990s and used in the change with radio Volga the long wave frequency 261 kHz. Later still some FM transmitters were added into Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxonia. Also a medium-wave transmitter in Berlin was used. 1994/95 were silent the long wave transmitter of Radioropa info., since the transmitter rent was too high. Only after a new contract with the German Telekom was prepared, Radioropa would continue to send info. on long wave. The program of Radioropa info. originally consisted of newscasts. Later mainly Rebroadcasting took place. Since Radioropa info. could not live alone on the listeners on long wave (and satellite radio), end of the 1990s some FM frequencies were requested. After this was rejected, Radioropa info. could not hold itself any longer and adjusted on 31 December 1999 the enterprise.
