Rachelle Sapir

Rachelle Sapir was a Glen Eira City Councillor from 2000 until she was sacked in 2005. Sapir was elected 3rd for Jasper Ward in 2000 Glen Eira City Council Elections. She received 910 primary votes out of 19,669 formal votes. In 2003, she was elected second for Mackie Ward in Glen Eira City Council elections. She received 1,287 primary votes out of 21,868 formal votes.
In 2002, Sapir ran as the ALP Candidate for Brighton in the November 2002 State Election. She received 9,926 primary votes of 32,136 formal votes. This resulted in a 30.89% primary vote for the ALP. On a two-party preferred, Sapir received 42.59% of the vote (13,686 votes).
In August 2005, Sapir was one of the nine Glen Eira councillors who were sacked by the Victorian Minister for Local Government.
