[edit] Road Naming
This is an article about the whole Outer Ring Road: that is the section known as the R710 and the undesignated 'phase one' section. Currently, 'R710' and the 'R710 road' link here, but the R710 is not the outer ring road. (It is merely 6.8km out of 7.8km of it.) This article should therefore not be moved to 'R710 road' or similar. Perhaps there is scope for a separate R710 article, if people want one, but it is not this. Merlante 12:35, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- The R710 *is* the Outer Ring Road, even if the earlier Phase 1 was intended as such. Other details were incorrect, as the route is officially classified as starting on the N25 and ending on the R683, not the other way round.
- The official route classification is used here, as that is what is more proper for road articles on Wikipedia.

- Incorrect. Buy a map. See Waterford City Street Map, 2nd Edition. I am not happy with what you have done, and I will not be leaving it like this, because you are quite simply wrong. The outer ring road started from the Dunmore Road. I remember, I saw it, I looked at the road for 7 years being there before the Cork end was built. Obviously there are references.

- If you want an article for the regional road, why don't you write one? Merlante 13:05, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

- Furthermore, your assertion that phase one of the ORR is no longer the ORR needs to be backed up by a solid reference. Since Ordinance Survey say otherwise. (Up till now at least.) You might also point out to me what phase one is actually called now if it isin't called the outer ring road? Merlante 13:10, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Okay, it turns out that the whole road is now designated the R710. So no confusion. :) Merlante 14:02, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
