R. Scott Bakker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
R. Scott Bakker (born February 2, 1967, Simcoe, Ontario) is a Canadian fantasy author. His first work is his high fantasy trilogy, The Prince of Nothing, which is composed of:
- The Darkness That Comes Before (2004)
- The Warrior Prophet (2005)
- The Thousandfold Thought (2006)
Further books are expected to explore the Prince of Nothing universe, although they will take place well after the trilogy's conclusion and involve some new characters. The next sequence, The Aspect-Emperor, will begin twenty years after the conclusion of The Thousandfold Thought. Only a few characters will be carried over from the preceding series. There will also be a further third series (also likely a duology), with the entire seven-book sequence known as The Second Apocalypse.
R. Scott Bakker has also completed a science fiction thriller entitled Neuropath, which he hopes to publish in 2006.
