R. Sankar

R. Sankar (b. Puthur, Kollam 1909 – d. 7 November 1972) was Chief Minister of Kerala, India from September 26, 1962 to September 10, 1964.

Sankar studied at Government College, Puthur and became a graduate in Chemistry. He then joined the Law College of Thiruvananthapuram and later practiced as a lawyer in Kollam District Court.

In his political career he became deputy Chief Minister in the Pattom Thanupillai ministry, and later became Chief Minister.
