R. Kelly was the self-titled third album released by the R&B singer-songwriter. It was also a bit of departure from his previous album's sexual innuendos save for a couple of songs. Released in 1995, it ushered Kelly into mega-star status in the R&B community and erased any doubt that the talented Chicagoan was gonna be a flash in the pan as he went on to dominate R&B for more than a decade.
