R142S (New York City Subway car)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
R142S refers to an order of 80 New York City Subway cars that supplements the R142A cars built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in 2003–04. See R142A for more details. Additional CBTC-compatible "B" end cars are expected to be delivered over the next several years as the 7 service converts to CBTC operation. At the moment, all R142S cars are in revenue service on the 4.
